Sending Money

Thank you for your support with sending money on Mondays in separate envelopes.  If you missed last week’s letter please observe the following procedures when sending money:

  • send all money for the week on Monday morning
  • use a separate envelope for each child – provided by school for this purpose
  • clearly detail what the money you are sending is for
  • ensure a booking slip is enclosed for 223 club
  • please enclose the correct change if at all possible

Your support with this is greatly appreciated by myself and the teaching staff.

Parent/Teacher Interviews

Our Parent/Teacher interviews for pupils in P1 – P6 will be held from Monday 8th until Thursday 12th February.  Please note all pupils (P1-P7) will finish at 2p.m. during this week in order to facilitate interviews.  There will be no 223 or after school clubs.  Interview times to follow.

Unplanned School Closures

In the unlikely event of an unplanned school closure due to inclement weather or an unforeseen emergency, parents will be notified using the text messaging service.  Please ensure you update the school office if your mobile number changes.  Information about closures will also be posted on the school website and Facebook page and local media will be notified.

Morning Arrangements

I direct all parents to read the letter sent home today about new morning arrangements which will start from Monday 1st February 2016.  In summary pupils can no longer be sent to school before 8:55a.m. unless using one of the following services:

Breakfast Club and supervision 8-8:55 at a cost of £2.05 per pupil per day or Early Birds 8:30-8:55 at a cost of £1 per pupil per day.

Money for Breakfast Club and Early Birds should be sent with your child on the day they are using the service.

School Calendar

Be sure to check out the school calendar on our website – this has been updated with events that are taking place this term and will hopefully help you keep track of what’s happening in school.

Wear It – Beat It

On Thursday 11 February we will be raising money for the British Heart Foundation.  We invite each child to donate £1.00 and wear something red to school.  The ladies in the kitchen are working on a special menu for the day with a ‘red’ theme – watch the Wednesday letter for more details.
