Edinburgh 2018 – Day 3

What a fantastic 3rd day we have had! Children had an absolute blast. We started the day with our Wildlife Reserve Safari where we saw lions, zebras, bison, deer, monkeys, rhinos and elephants to name a few followed by a boat trip to chimp island.

The kids enjoyed some fun on the pedal boats, the zip line and the adventure play area.

We were then entertained by some birds of prey to include a barn owl, an American eagle and a white-tailed hawk.

We ended our visit with everyone, including the teachers, enjoying the slippery slide!

In the evening we had a very competitive game of ten pin bowling. Well done to Owen who had the highest score among the boys and Phoebe who had the highest score among the girl.

Children have all packed and settled for the night.

Edinburgh 2018 – Day 2

Day 2 and we headed into Edinburgh where we met our tour guide Onya. We had a fantastic tour of the city and learned some amazing facts.

Our next stop was Edinburgh Castle! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the visit here finished off with 1 o’clock gun!

Dynamic Earth was next on the agenda! Travelling on a time machine and discovering how our planet Earth developed!!!

Our day in Edinburgh was finished off with a Ghost tour!! It was fantastic and the kids had a ball!!

12 hours later and 25 very tired kids we have returned to the hotel for a good nights sleep and are looking forward to our day tomorrow to the Safari Park!

Edinburgh 2018 – Day 1

After a very early start we boarded the Stenaline ferry from Belfast to Cairnryan! We had a lovely crossing on the ferry and got our first compliment of the day – ‘the kids behaviour was impeccable’. We continued our journey and made our way to the Tall Ships and Riverside Museum. On leaving here we were told that our kids were a real credit to us! Well done kids – super proud teachers!

We have arrived safely at the hotel and looking forward to our first evening meal and a visit to Calendar Park afterwards!
