Friday Letter – 1st December 2017

Dates for the diary

Monday 4th December – P5/6 Swimming (Mrs Scott’s class), P7 – Ballymoney High Trip

Thursday 7th December – P6/7 Trip to Dunluce School Christmas Dinner Movie & Munch Night (6.30pm)

Christmas Gift Boxes
We will be sending home the template for our gift boxes.  These are to be designed, cut out and made into a present. A Christmas donation can be put inside before it is sealed. The money is in lieu of presents traditionally bought for members of staff at this time of year. All proceeds this year will shared between school funds and the Smiles Foundation. No names are required on the boxes and as little or as much as you wish to donate will be welcomed.

Class Assembly Mrs Bell’s P4/5 class will be taking assembly on Thursday 25th January at 9.30am.
Parents and friends of children in P4/5 will be invited to come along and enjoy the assembly and enjoy some  tea/coffee and scones after. More details will follow in the New Year.

Best of luck to our Primary 7 children who will sit their final AQE test on Saturday.

Behaviour Award
Well done to P2/3, P4/5, P5/6 and P7 who received the behaviour reward in Assembly today. They will enjoy some extra playtime.

Movie & Munch Night
Friends of Dunseverick are holding a Movie and Munch night on Thursday 7th December. Any outstanding reply slips to be sent to school on or before Wednesday 6th December!

Tesco Bag Pack
Friends of Dunseverick have secured a slot for bag packing in Tesco, Ballymoney on Monday 18th December. We are asking for volunteers to help with the bag pack. A rota will be put on the front door. Please fill in your name at any time you would be available to help. We are also hoping to take our P5/6 class to Tesco on the same day to do some carol singing. P5/6 will get more details of this event.

Time keeping
We would ask parents to bring their children to school on time. Good timekeeping is a skill for life. If you continually bring your child late to school, they lose out on valuable class time and disrupt the class routine. Teachers will be keeping a record of late comers. Being on time to collect them is equally important. If for any reason you are delayed, please contact the office in ample time to inform the class teacher.

Christmas Dinner
We are looking forward to enjoying our Christmas Dinner in school on Thursday 7th December.

Christmas Jumper Day
On Friday 15th December we are asking all children to wear a Christmas Jumper to school. Any money raised will be donated to NSPCC.
