Our Christmas lunch for children and staff this year is being held tomorrow, Thursday 3rd December 2015. Reception children can also stay for lunch on this day.

Christmas Gift Boxes
Christmas gift box templates have been sent home today.  These are to be designed, cut out and made into a present.  A Christmas donation can be put inside before it is sealed.  The money is in lieu of presents traditionally bought for members of staff at this time of year.  All proceeds this year will the given to ‘The Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice’.

No names are required on the boxes and as little or as much as you wish to donate will be welcomed.

Christmas Concerts
On Tuesday 15th December 2015, the Reception – P3 performance will take place at 9.45am.  At 10.45am on the same date, the P4-P7 performance will take place.  Parents are welcome to wait in school between performances if there is an older brother/sister in the later performance.  Tea and Coffee will be available.  The same arrangements will be in place on Wednesday 16th December 2015.  The offering at both these services will be in aid of the ‘The Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice’.

Application forms
Application forms are in school for those parents wishing to enrol their child for school in September 2016.  Parents whose children are currently in Reception or will be attending Reception in the present year are not required to complete an application form for Primary 1.

Arrangements for Theatre Trip
All pupils are looking forward to our trip to the Millennium Forum on Thursday 17th December to see ‘Aladdin’. The arrangements for this trip are as follows:

  • 10:00 a.m. – Pupils will have an early break time. Breakfast club will be available on this day.
  • 11.00 a.m. – Pupils leave school by bus to the Millennium Forum

All pupils need to bring a packed lunch on this day which will be eaten on arrival at the Millennium Forum      (eg. Non fizzy drink, bread snack, crisps, fruit, biscuit – all disposable!!)

Children on Free school meals can order a packed lunch from our school kitchen. Orders should be placed by Monday 14th December.

  • Approx. 3:30pm – Pupils begin to leave the Millennium Forum
  • 5:00pm – Pupils return to school

Both the Yellow bus and Ulsterbus will not be running at this time and parents should collect their children by car.  We would ask parents to ensure they do not block the bus stop area when collecting pupils, to allow the buses to park safely.
