Farewell
On Monday we wave a fond (and possibly teary) goodbye to our Primary 7 pupils.  The staff have many fond memories of the tiny 4 and 5 year olds who started Dunseverick all those years ago and I am so impressed by the mature young people they have grown to become.  We wish Primary 7 all the very best as they embark on their next great adventure and hope they will remember the lessons they learned and cherish the friendships they made here!

And remember P7:
Be bold, be brilliant, be you!

On Friday we say goodbye to Mr Kearney who has been teaching P4/5 during Mrs Milligan’s maternity leave.  We would like to thank Mr Kearney for his hard work and enthusiasm this year – the children had so much fun they hardly noticed they were learning!  We are delighted that Mr Kearney will be able to join us on prize day to celebrate the children’s achievements.

Welcome Back
We are delighted to welcome back Mrs Smyth from her recent maternity leave and we look forward to Mrs Milligan’s return on Monday.

School Closures
Please note school will be closed tomorrow Thursday 23rd June to facilitate the EU Referendum.

Music Exams
A big well done to our 10 pupils who sat their Grade One violin, flute and clarinet exams last Friday – I heard you all did us proud!

P1 Open Afternoon
We had a lovely afternoon welcoming our new P1’s and their parents today.  We look forward to the children joining us next year.

Prize Day

Prize Day will be held on Monday at 10am.  We hope many of you will be free to join us to celebrate the children’s achievements.  Primary 7 parents are invited to stay for refreshments after the ceremony and Primary 7 can then go home.  Please ensure children come to school wearing full school uniform including black shoes – no trainers.

223 Club
The 223 Club Party took place today and while I did not receive an invite I understand a great time was had by all!  223 Club will resume in September.  Thank you to all those parents who sent in goodies for the party.

End of Term
School ends on Thursday 30th June which will be a ½ day for all pupils.  Primary 7 will finish on Monday 27th June after Prize Day.

Amnesty
With the end of term approaching could I encourage each family to have a look around the house and gather up any bits and pieces belonging to school and return these to us.  Don’t worry if you’ve had it for a while – we’ll be delighted to have it back!

Bushmills Community Summer Fair
The Bushmills & District Community Association are holding their Summer Fair on Wednesday 13th July in the grounds of Bushmills Primary.  Entry is free.  All pupils have received a colouring competition today which should be returned on the day of the fair.  Please see flyer sent home for more information.
