Photographs

Cool for School photography will be in school on Friday 24th February to take annual school pictures. Family pictures will be taken during the school day but if any parents wish to have photographs taken with younger/older family siblings who are not at school please come to school at 8.30am to have photos taken.

World Book Day
We are celebrating World Book Day, on Wednesday 1st March. We are looking forward to welcoming Billy Teare, a story teller into school on that day and also seeing the children dress up as a favourite character out of a book. We would encourage children to design and make their own costumes and also to bring their favourite book/story into school on that day so we can share with the rest of the class

Woodhall
Just a reminder that the final amount for the Woodhall trip needs to be paid by Wednesday 1st March 2017. Medical forms, an itinerary and a pupil/parent contract have been sent home today.

After – Schools Clubs
After School Clubs will start on Monday 27th February. All children have secured a place in their 1st choice club. For those children attending Dance Club or Football club they will need to bring a change of clothes. There are still a few spaces left for Eco club and Dance Club.

Portstewart Festival
We are looking forward to some of our pupils participating in the festival again this year. The pupils are very excited about performing on stage. Parents are reminded that they will need to take their child to and from the festival and if during the school day should leave the child back to school.

Gardening
Andy, a volunteer, will be coming into school on Friday 3rd March to work with some pupils from P4 & P5 to enhance an area of the school grounds with shrubs and flowers. Andy fundraises for ‘Boom Charity’ and also Macmillan Nurses. It would be greatly appreciated if parents would donate 50p or £1 to show our support for these worthwhile charities.

See Saw Playgroup
Seesaw Playgroup is holding a Table Quiz on Thursday 2nd March at 7.30pm in the Community Centre. Admission is £4 per adult and will include refreshments. Tickets will also be on sale for the Easter Draw.

Bushmills Community
Everyone is invited to the next meeting being held by Bushmills Community Association on Thursday 23rd February at 8pm in Bushmills Community Centre.

Parent Consultations
Thank you for supporting the teachers by attending parent consultations and collecting the children early this week, we really do welcome the opportunity to discuss pupils’ progress.

Half Term
Reminder: school is closed on Thursday 16th – Monday 20th for half term. School will also be closed to pupils on Tuesday 21st February for staff training.

Parking
Thanks for everyone’s cooperation regarding parking and drop offs at school. Please pass on the information to friends/child minders/grandparents who may also be collecting children from school.

PSNI
We welcomed Constable Paul Creith and Constable Peter Keary into school today. They talked to P1- P3 about keeping safe and to P4 – P7 about Internet Safety. Ask your children to tell you something new they learnt from the PSNI today!

After – Schools Clubs
There are still a few spaces left for After-School Eco club and also the Dance Club. Football Club is full.

Ballycastle Music Residential
The annual music residential is being held in Ballycastle this year from Saturday 1st July to Tuesday 4th July. This residential is available to all P6 & P7 pupils who have played an orchestral instrument for more than one year. More information is available on the NEELB website.

IM HAPPY family fun event!
This sounds like a great event for over half term holidays.
