Sports Day

Sports Day will be held on Friday 9th June at 10am. Children should wear trainers along with shorts/joggers, t-shirt and a fleece/coat.  Children will have the option of a takeaway lunch from the school kitchen at 12.30pm (approx). Tea/coffee & biscuits (self-serve) will be available for parents. Pupils can go home with parents after Sports Day if they wish.


Just a reminder that school will be closed on Thursday 8th June for the Election.

Prize Day

Prize Day will be held on Wednesday 28th June 2017 at 10am.  We still have a few outstanding cups and trophies that need to be returned – this includes sports day plaques.  Please return to school as soon as possible.

Afterschool Clubs

An ENORMOUS thank you to staff, volunteers and coaches who have taken afterschool clubs this year.


Fantastic Plastic

Primary 6 have been invited to attend this event in Ballycastle High School on Tuesday 13th June from 10.00am – 1.30pm.  They will be exploring plastic through Technology, Science and Home Economics.  Children will need a packed lunch. If your child is entitled to free school meals and you would like Judith to make a packed lunch, please let Dawn know before Friday 9th June.


Summer Concert

Congratulations to Katy Graham and all her pupils who hosted a wonderful music evening on Friday past.  Sales from the tickets will help develop our outdoor play area.


Cycling Proficiency

P7 have received a letter regarding cycling proficiency which will start on Monday 12th June.  Please return all permission slips before Friday 9th June.



There will be no formal written homework from Monday 12th June. Children may get reading, spellings and mental maths.


Ballylough Living History Trust – 10th & 11th June – 10.30am – 5.30pm

David and June Traill are holding a living History Weekend on their grounds off the Castlecatt Road.  Re-enactments from Viking and Medieval times right through to World Wars will be held every hour. Lots of family entertainment available – bouncy castles, archery, orienteering etc. Leaflets for this event have been sent home today.
