Dunseverick Primary School is located on the edge of the Giant’s Causeway and has a long history serving the community since 1895. Growing numbers and subsequent amalgamations have resulted in a thriving and vibrant school with about 120 pupils. Dunseverick is very much a community school with strong parental support and a deep history of family generations back throughout the years.
At the school there is evidence of a broad and balanced curriculum for all pupils, with excellent facilities for each child to make use of. These include well-resourced classrooms, an Accelerated Reading library and ICT room, an Adventure Playground and stunning school grounds. A key feature and landmark is the school Wind Turbine, which the school won a few years ago that even powers electricity for the school!
During a recent District Inspection, the school was highly praised. Elements highlighted included the excellent behaviour and attitude of the pupils, the high standard of teaching and learning, how actively pupils engage in their lessons and the positive working relationships that are more than evident in the school.
