It’s a Girl
On Monday we were delighted to hear of the safe arrival of Miss Lydia Milligan. A massive congratulations and best wishes to Mrs Milligan and her husband and not forgetting big sister Katie. We all look forward to meeting Lydia soon.

Sports Day
Thank you to everyone who participated and supported our Sports Day. A great day was had by all!

Prize Day
Prize Day will be held on Wednesday 28th June 2017 at 10am. We still have a few outstanding cups and trophies that need to be returned – this includes sports day plaques. Please return to school as soon as possible. 

P7 Enterprise Day
Thank you to all the children who supported our P7 enterprise day on Tuesday. We raised a total of £240.14 for school funds.

223 Club
223 club will be having an end of year party on Monday 26th June. There will be no 223 club for the remainder of the week.

Causeway Coast Vineyard – 10,000 hours
We are delighted to announce that volunteers from the Causeway Coast Vineyard will be painting our school assembly hall in the first week of July. Click on the link below if you would like to help out. Scroll down for Dunseverick Primary to register.

School Money
Parents please pay any outstanding money online as soon as possible for school dinners and 223 club. At present we have an outstanding amount owed of over £500. Contact Dawn if you have any questions.

P6/7 Museum Trip
P6/7 will be visiting the Ulster Museum on Friday 23rd June. Children will require a packed lunch – if any children who are entitled to free school meals would like a lunch provided from the school kitchen please let Dawn know asap.

P1/P7 Beach Trip
Weather permitting, P1 and P7 will go to Portballintrae beach on Monday 26th June. This will be a lovely way to end the year for the P1’s with their P7 buddies.

Mrs Scott’s Class
P5/6 will be going to the Movie House in Coleraine on Tuesday 27th June for their A/R class prize. Children will be back to school in time for a late lunch.

Just a reminder that the closing date for applications to complete these tests is on Friday 8th September 2017.

Derrykeighan Community Association
Big Breakfast on Sat 24th June 9.30 – 11.30 a.m. in Community hall. Admission £5 adults & £3 children (under 12)

CASTLE KIDZ SUMMER SCHEME – Monday 17th – Friday 28th July!
Registration will take place on Fri 23rd June, 7 to 8 p.m. Cost remains £8.50 reg. fee (or £23 for a family of 3).

Sports Day
Sports Day will be held on Friday 9th June at 10am. Children should wear trainers along with shorts/joggers, t-shirt and a fleece/coat. Children will have the option of a takeaway lunch from the school kitchen at 12.30pm (approx). Pupils can go home with parents after Sports Day if they wish.

223 Club
Please remember to send booking slips in on a Monday and remind your child to hand them to their teacher.

Just a reminder that school will be closed on Thursday 8th June for the Election.

Prize Day

Welly Boots
P4 – Please send in 1 welly boot for your child to practise the welly boot throw for Sports day

Mrs Edgar
Mrs Edgar has announced her retirement from teaching at the end of this school year. Mrs Edgar would like to pass on that it has been a privilege to have been involved in the education of so many wonderful children during her 22 years at Dunseverick Primary.

Friends of Dunseverick 

A MASSIVE THANKS to all the staff, parents, pupils and stall holders. A lot of preparation and hard work went into organising the craft fair and we were delighted to raise a wonderful total of £932.80 for school funds.

If you are intending to take your child/children on holiday before the end of school term, please put it in writing to the class teacher.

Summer Concert
There are still a few tickets available for the summer concert this Friday 2nd June in Portballintrae Hall. Contact Dawn or Katy Graham if you would like to purchase a ticket.

Ballylough Living History Trust – 10th & 11th June – 10.30am – 5.30pm
David and June Traill are holding a living History Weekend on their grounds off the Castlecatt Road. Re-enactments from Viking and Medieval times right through to World Wars will be held every hour. Lots of family entertainment available – bouncy castles, archery, orienteering etc.
