Dates for the diary
Thursday 8th December – Indoor Games – 3pm – 4pm (P4 – P7), Good News Club – 3pm – 4pm (P4 – P7)
Tuesday 13th December – Christmas Play (P1 – P3 – 10.00am, P4 – P7 – 10.45am)
Wednesday 14th December – Christmas Play (P1 – P3 – 10.00am, P4 – P7 – 10.45am)

Christmas Concerts
On Tuesday 13th December 2016, the P1 – P3 performance will take place at 10.00am. At 10.45am on the same date, the P4-P7 performance will take place. Parents are welcome to wait in school between performances if there is an older brother/sister in the later performance. Tea and Coffee will be available. The same arrangements will be in place on Wednesday 14th December 2016. The offering at both these services will be in aid of the ‘The Alzheimer’s Society’

Please remember to send all monies into school on a Friday morning of each week.

Open Day
Our open day for prospective Reception and P1 pupils will take place on Friday 9th December from 1.30pm – 2.30pm and also between 6pm and 7pm. If this date does not suit, prospective parents can make an appointment to see around the school. Please let prospective parents know of this date if their child is due to start school. P1’s will be going home at 1.00pm on this day and will need to be collected by car as buses will not be available at 1pm. 

After School Clubs
Please return all slips by Monday 12th December. We will let parents know if Fun with Drums and Spanish are to go ahead. Money can be paid before Christmas or the first week back at school.

Arrangements for Theatre Trip 

All pupils are looking forward to our trip to the Millennium Forum on Monday 19th December to see ‘Cinderella’. The arrangements for this trip are as follows:

School will begin at the normal time of 9.10 a.m. Both the Yellow bus and Ulsterbus will be available to transport pupils to school

10:00 a.m. – Pupils will have an early break time. Breakfast club will be available on this day.

11.00 a.m. – Pupils leave school by bus to the Millennium Forum

All pupils need to bring a packed lunch on this day which will be eaten on arrival at the Millennium Forum (eg. Non fizzy drink, sandwiches, crackers, cheese, fruit, – all disposable!!)

Children on Free school meals can order a packed lunch from our school kitchen. Orders should be placed by Thursday 15th December. Please let the office know.

1:15pm – Pantomime begins

Approx. 3:30pm – Pupils begin to leave the Millennium Forum

5:00pm – Pupils return to school

Both the Yellow bus and Ulsterbus will not be running at this time and parents should collect their children by car.

We would ask parents to ensure they do not block the bus stop area when collecting pupils, to allow our buses to park safely.

Fireside Quiz
Thank you to all the parents who have sold and bought fireside quiz sheets. Please remember to drop in any sheets and money to school on or before Friday 16th December. Thank you for your support!


Christmas Jumper Day
We are having a Christmas Jumper day on Wednesday 21st December and are asking for a £1 contribution towards NSPCC.


Toberkeigh Junior Youth Club
All P4 to P7 children are invited to a Bouncy Assault Course Night on Saturday 10th December 2016 from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.

Parent Consultations
Parent consultations will be taking place next week. If you can not make your consultation, please inform Dawn as soon as possible.

Harvest in School
Our Harvest Service will take place in school on Friday 28th October at 10.00am. Tickets are still available and can be purchased from Dawn. Rev. Barton will also speak at this service. School will finish for half term at 12 noon on this date. The buses will collect pupils at school at 12 noon and pupils should be picked up by car at this time as well. Harvest lunch will be served to children in school on Wednesday 26th October. Please see menus for details.

Half Term
School will finish for all pupils on Friday 28th October at 12 noon for half term break. Pupils will return to school on Tuesday 8th November 2016.

After – Schools Clubs
A letter has been sent home listing all the after school clubs for next term. Please send in any remaining forms on or before Wednesday 26th October.

Christmas Theatre Trip
We have booked to take the children to see Cinderella in the Millennium Forum in Londonderry on Monday 19th December. More details will follow on the Wednesday letter after half term holidays.

P5 – Bushmills Trip
Thank you to the parents who were able to attend the information meeting on Monday about the Bushmills trip. Hopefully any questions you had will now be answered. Any outstanding money should be paid to Dawn on or before Friday 11th November.

Radar Trip
Primary 7 had an enjoyable trip to Radar on Tuesday. They took part in different scenarios to make them aware of risks and dangers that they can avoid to keep themselves safe. Watch out for pictures appearing on school website.

(Admission is by ticket only) – £1 per ticket.

Samba Band & Lantern Parade leaving village hall @ 7.30pm followed by fireworks over the bay (Lanterns on sale (£1) from 7pm in the Village Hall)
