World Book Day
We are celebrating World Book Day, on Wednesday 1st March. We are looking forward to welcoming Billy Teare, a story teller into school on that day and also seeing the children dress up as a favourite character out of a book. We would encourage children to design and make their own costumes and also to bring their favourite book/story into school on that day so we can share with the rest of the class
Just a reminder that the final amount for the Woodhall trip needs to be paid by Wednesday 1st March 2017. Medical forms, an itinerary and a pupil/parent contract have been sent home today.
After – Schools Clubs
After School Clubs will start on Monday 27th February. All children have secured a place in their 1st choice club. For those children attending Dance Club or Football club they will need to bring a change of clothes. There are still a few spaces left for Eco club and Dance Club.
We are looking forward to some of our pupils participating in the festival again this year. The pupils are very excited about performing on stage. Parents are reminded that they will need to take their child to and from the festival and if during the school day should leave the child back to school.
Andy, a volunteer, will be coming into school on Friday 3rd March to work with some pupils from P4 & P5 to enhance an area of the school grounds with shrubs and flowers. Andy fundraises for ‘Boom Charity’ and also Macmillan Nurses. It would be greatly appreciated if parents would donate 50p or £1 to show our support for these worthwhile charities.
