Parent Teacher Interviews
Our Parent/Teacher interviews for pupils in R – P6 will be held from Monday 8th until Thursday 12th February. Please note all pupils (P1-P7) will finish at 2p.m. on these days in order to facilitate interviews. There will be no 223 or after school clubs, but Sharon or Mrs Taggart will be available, if needed, to supervise children in the assembly hall while you attend your interview.
Reminder school is closed on Friday 12th February for a staff development day and on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th for half term.
The school photographer will be in school on Wednesday 24th February. Check school bags for a leaflet today.
Reminder new morning arrangements are now in place. In summary pupils can no longer be sent to school before 8:55a.m. unless using one of the following services:
Breakfast Club and supervision 8-8:55 at a now reduced cost of £1.55 per pupil per day or Early Birds 8:30-8:55 at a cost of £1 per pupil per day.
Money for Breakfast Club and Early Birds should be sent with your child on the day they are using the service.
School Bus Service
Ulsterbus kindly ask that parents make sure someone is waiting to collect children using the school bus service. It is distressing for the children if no one is waiting for them and disrupts the service for others.
Please check your child’s schoolbag for a leaflet from Miniversity about up and coming ICT courses in the area.
We have received a brochure with details of camps and missions being run by Scripture Union Northern Ireland this summer. If you are interested you can contact SU on 028 9045 4806 or check out www.suni.co.uk/campsandadmissions. Alternatively the brochure is available to view in school.
The weather is finally feeling wintery so we would like to remind all the children to come to school every day with a warm, waterproof coat as we do endeavour to get out for our playtime as often as possible. If your child wears a fleece or hoody please send a waterproof as well.
Portstewart Speech & Drama Festival. runs from 14th – 16th March and costs £3.00 per pupil. If you have not replied but your son/daughter is interested in taking part please send the reply slip to school by this Friday. We feel this is an excellent opportunity for our pupils and encourage as many as possible to take part.
Wear It – Beat It
On Thursday 11 February we will be raising money for the British Heart Foundation. This will be a non-uniform day, we invite each child to donate £1.00 and wear something red to school. The ladies in the kitchen have cooked up a special menu for the day with a ‘red’ theme – yum, yum!
